How Convrsy works
Better conversations are built through deliberate practice
Prepare for the situation, practice with a counterpart who responds, review what changed the conversation and try again.
The practice loop
Four steps, repeated until the conversation stops surprising you
Each pass through the loop is short. The value comes from going round it again with something changed.
-
1
Prepare the situation
Set the goal, the stakes and who you are speaking with. Start from a designed scenario or describe a conversation you actually have coming up.
-
2
Practice out loud
Hold the conversation with a counterpart who has their own objective and responds to what you actually say, not to a script.
-
3
Review what moved
See the moments that created movement, resistance or misunderstanding, each tied to something that was said.
-
4
Try it again
Replay the whole conversation with a different approach, or run a focused drill on the one moment that did not land.
Scenarios let people practice the complete conversation. Drills strengthen one particular skill or moment.
Product demo
Watch a full session, start to finish
Four and a half minutes, end to end: an overview, building a scenario by talking it through with the coach, the live conversation with a counterpart who pushes back, and the review afterwards.
The recording is shared under an access code.
Structured practice with counterparts who have their own agenda
Every counterpart is built from goals, constraints, relevant history and a point of view - so their responses have reasons and change based on what you actually say.
Their responses remain grounded in the goals, constraints and dynamics designed for the situation. What Convrsy evaluates is you - and only what you observably did.
- Goals
- What the counterpart is actually trying to achieve in this conversation
- Constraints
- What they can't say yes to — budget, politics, history, timeline
- Relevant history
- The prior interactions and context that shape how they show up
- Conditions for movement
- What genuinely shifts them — and what it sounds like when it happens
We analyze behavior, not minds
Feedback is anchored to observable conversation evidence: a question asked, a concern acknowledged, an interruption, a shift in how the interaction moved.
Convrsy never claims to detect emotions or score anyone's inner state - no anxiety scores, no confidence ratings, no "you seemed defensive." What you did is checkable. What you felt is yours.

Boundaries and grounding
What Convrsy does not infer
- Emotions or internal states — no anxiety, stress, or confidence scores
- Personality traits or 'emotional resilience' judgments
- Claims like "you were anxious" or "you became defensive"
- Anything that can't be traced to a moment in the conversation
How the method is grounded
- Deliberate practice
- Convrsy is informed by principles of deliberate practice: focused repetition, specific feedback and another opportunity to try.
- Negotiation & communication research
- Interest-based frameworks: exploring before advocating, testing assumptions, reframing toward shared outcomes.
- Simulation-based preparation
- A simulation-based approach — widely used to prepare for consequential, low-frequency situations — applied to the conversations people cannot afford to get wrong.
